A meeting was held on 15th February at Eastwood Uniting Church.
We had representatives from 45 of the 60 churches that are part of this Presbytery with apologies from some of the churches unable to send a representative. Representatives from Synod, Chaplains from Uniting Church schools, Macquarie University, Hospital and Aged Care facilities in our presbytery also attended.

Recognition of Australia Day Honours were noted for Mr Michael McEwen, Mrs Susan Nurse and Mrs. Pamela Walker.

A Life and Witness Committee has been established to exercise oversight of congregational consultations. Martin Levine is the Chair of this committee.

The presbytery website is progressing well and all congregations were encouraged to add information to their sections of the presbytery website. Go to and find your congregation under your Zone.

It was agreed to establish a PYPP – Presbytery Young People Project, under the initial leadership of Paul Simpson and Fiona Blair. Each Zone to encourage both younger people and older leaders in training to participate in youth and children’s activities as they are planned.

A presentation by the Uniting Regional Council for SCC area talked about Uniting’s responsibilities for social justice, community and chaplaincy. Joanna Drayton was introduced as the engagement leader for SCCP area.
